Your Smile Team
Dr. Joe states, "I'm extremely proud of the wonderful, dedicated group of people here at RYD. Simply put, we're good people doing great things together through the power of teamwork."
He continues, "We have a terrific culture that reflects our key values of respect, contribution, and trust.
We're always growing, changing, and improving around here."
At RYD, we believe in win-win relationships, and our goal has been to create a unique place where everyone wins team members, patients, doctors, the organization, and our surrounding community.
We're team-first - placing our team even before our guests (patients). After all, a happy, healthy, productive team will lead to happy, healthy clientel who willingly pay us for our services and refer others. More about RYD...
Site Navigation - Quick Tips |
|
On the bar above, you'll find our Core Values. Each one represents a shared value that helps define our team along with the RYD Brand.
Below, you'll find details of past activities - some recent, some from way back...
Just as archeologists study cultural artifacts, this page offers clear historical evidence of our team's thriving culture.
Often, in the busyness and tension of our everyday work, we can forget those events that really bring us together. Photos are often taken, but not always shared, and we can begin to take each other for granted.
The menu bar on the side lists other key pages - each a treasure trove of articles and information and well worth visiting. There's much to learn about leadership, teams and culture. The only page with restricted access is "Our Team" on the side menu.
Apologies to any visitors, but that's strictly for members of our Smile Team here at RYD.
Enjoy your visit! |

Xmas smiles! |
Christmas 05 |
Dec. 16 , 2004 |
Once again, the bar has been raised on our annual Xmas party. We held the event at Weston Golf & Country Club. It was exceptional. Each year Debbi manages to outdo herself. This was by far our best party yet. The DJ was awesome and we took full advantage by nixing that never-ending steal-a-gift game. Read on... |

Trailcon Meeting |
June 7 , 2005 |
Our core team spent our bi-weekly meeting time visiting a local world-class business owned and operated by Al Boughton - one of our long-time loyal patients.
Trailcon Leasing is a highly organized company that leads their industry in service quality. Their Mission Statement claims,
"We strive to exceed customer expectations every time. We will not compromise quality, value, or productivity."
Our team enjoyed Al and Trish's powerful presentation on Systems Development, ISO Standards, and Quality Control. We saw examples of checklists, protocols, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and customer surveys.
Our team came back energized and inspired by Trailcon's model of outstanding success! |

New Look for RYD! |
Summer 2005 |
|
Texan Rebecca Palmer and local Univ. of Western student Shannon Gallagher have been busy working away on our marketing program, including a brand new look for Royal York Dental. The logo at the top of this page is an example of Rebecca's work. See the ad recently placed in Checkup magazine.
Among other initiatives, they'll be developing a new office brochure and revitilizing our New Patient Package.
In related news, our new recruitement website has been a tremendous success. Potential new team members that read our placement ad are directed to this site for more information. Here they can discover how unique and special we truly are. |

Smiles for Mexico |
Feb. 12, 2005 |
Working out of a cramped trailer in a small Mexican town inside their Town Hall seemed strange and surreal to us. To the townspeople, this was pure theatre, and many gathered about to watch the show. People of all ages sitting around us and children peeking through the barred, unglassed windows. See story and photos... |

Christmas 04 |
Dec. 16 , 2004 |
This year we broke with the past tradition of hosting the party at La Castille, and held our Xmas party at St Georges Golf & Country Club. It was truly spectacular. By a stroke of luck, the Grey Cup was also in attendance that night and many team members took advantage of the unique photo opportunity. Go Argos! Read on...
